Jindabyne Lifesaving Energy
The Jindabyne Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) is part of the large family of SLSC throughout Australia and as such is an iconic part of Australian culture. The Jindabyne SLSC is affiliated with Tathra SLSC which was the first SLSC in Australia to install a PVRP system. During April 2008 Pyramid Power was excited to be selected to design and install several green energy initiatives for the Jindabyne SLSC as shown in the photograph above, such as a Grid Connect Solar system, A Solar Hot Water system and a small wind turbine. The official launch of the systems will be held on 3rd May 2008, and further information and photographs will be available after this date.
ยท The Snowy Mountains Shire Council, the Surf Life Saving Community and the Jindabyne SLSC want the installation at the Clubhouse to demonstrate community leadership in the reduction of carbon based energy consumption and in the increase in the use of renewable energy in the Snowy Mountains Shire.
